Happy Christmas!

Hope you all had as fun a christmas as we did! Gramma Jaynee and Papa Philip spent the night on Christmas Eve and woke up before anyone else and opened all their presents before Sydney could even make it down the stairs! She did notice that Santa had eaten the cookies she left for him. It was a lot of fun. We only took a couple photos this year and Peyton wasn't even in them! ha! At least we have a bit of video.

Sydney putting out cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.

Our tree after Santa came.

Our stockings filled from Santa.

Here are some silly pictures of us having a bit of fun. The one of me Sydney took by herself! Have a fun and safe New Year!

The End and The Start

In 4 days I return to work. It will be nice to get MY office back and MY stuff back from the guy that has been using it in my stead, but it is going to be a lot harded than I thiought to leave the kids. I couldn't even make it through two hours of shopping 3 miles from the house with the kids left with gramma and papa. I cried, I called the house, I shook....how the heck am I going to leave them at daycare in 3 weeks? I know it will get "easier," but to start out I'm going to be a wreck. I have really enjoyed taking these 3 months off. Peyton will be almost 4 months old when they go to school, it was so great to be able to do that. They will be home with Jason for the next 3 weeks. We are very fortunate to be in the situation we are to take that kind of time with them. And, I'll be working 4 ten hour shifts so I'll even have a full 3 days home with them, that will be great! So the end of "stay at home mom" has come and the start of back to work begins.
Also, the end to "not working out" has come! I have officially purchased my airfare to San Francisco where I will meet Steph and we will travel to Monterey to compete in the Sea Otter Classic in April. Therefore, I HAVE to start working out now....only 4 more months, nearly to the day! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! I will, given the children go to bed easily tonight, be getting on my bike tonight on my indoor trainer, turn on the Jazz game, and spin away! If only it would take one night of 30-60 minute spinning to return myself to 5 hour century condition!

I will also be riding, once again, in the Tour de Cure for diabetes in June as well as the MS150 a couple weeks later. So I will be hitting you all up for donations ;) in fact, Jason has decided to start training for those rides too! Go team Gillman!!! (mom, dad, can you watch the kids during the ride? ;) )

So as scary as some of those things are that are ending, there is so much to look forward too as well. I got Peyton laughing today, Sydney is dancing, and all is well.
Unfortunately, this is the only recent photo I have of me! Yuck! Ha!

Trends I'm Glad Are Dead #1453

Check out Nuno's (the guitar player's) outfit in this video... supertight bike shorts and an oversized sports jersey! And the Milli Vanilli hair, oh man. Hahaha... I am *so* glad people don't dress like this anymore.

Enjoy the tune!

The Whole Fam Damily!

So, we were all together once again, or finally, however you want to look at it. And, of course, time flew by and we were back to our respectful places. Let me just say that it was so great to get together and play Rock Band and games and just hang out! I wish we all lived closer to each other. Thanks for spending time with my family and playing with my kids, you are all great and Sydney had a great time, as did I! Here are a few pictures from the weekend. I hope to see you all soon, again!

Whoa. Chris Cornell does Jimmy Gnecco??

One of my favorite pop songs from recent history is a tune called "Someone to Die For," which was originally released (I think) on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack, sung by a man named Jimmy Gnecco. Gnecco is a fantastic singer, but this is the only song I've ever heard him sing.

Recently, I discovered something EVEN BETTER: a demo version of this song, sung not by Jimmy but by one of my all-time favorite musicians, the incredible Chris Cornell.

Check out what he does with this unbelieveable tune:

(FYI - only the audio is "Someone to Die For." The video seen here is for the song "Preaching the End of the World.")

Peyton Everett Gillman!!!

He's here! and I called it! a week early! So I was all set up to be induced on wednesday the 17th, but someone decided to come the day before! It worked out all to well. I had just finished wrapping things up at work, Jason had done the same, cleared his schedule. Sydney was being pickup by gramma and grampa and being brought up to the house later that day. I called Jason and said, hey, let's go to lunch before our last doctor's appointment. I met him at his work, we drove over to Cafe Rio, ordered lunch, sat down and.....I looked up and said, um, I think my water broke. Niether one of us even got one bite of our food! So Jason said, let's go and we got in the car and went to the hospital. I wasn't even having contractions until we were maybe half way or more to the hospital. We were admitted at close to 1:00pm and I delived the baby at 3:24pm! It was crazy! If anyone wants more details than that I'd be more than happy to share. Especially the "and that's what Rice Krispies decided NOT to use as there slogan" comment from Jason. So without further ado, here are a few pictures. And since I don't know how to place pictures at the end of my writing, I'm sure you will have seen them before this blog, but I'll try, ha!

Well, there are a few pictures. There a a couple more worth posting, if I can't get them in this post, I'll try another!

It worked! Can't wait to see you all!

Utah State Fair

So today we went to the fair with Gramma and Papa...interestingly we bumped into Jenn and Stephen at the end of our day too! Not much to say other than we walked around and Sydney was completely worn out due to an over-night stay at the grandparents the night before and then no nap before going to the fair. But we had fun! Here are some pictures!

On another note, I made the valances for the baby's room, totally makes the room! And I ordered on ebay a really awsome airplane mobile and 3 vintage airplane drawings. Just need to hang those when they get here and figure out a name for this boy so that I can hang up his name like I did for Sydney. Letters hung on the wall, I think this time, instead of ribbon like Sydney's, I'm going to use shoe laces! Any day now he is welcome to make his arrival!

Oktoberfest--see below

So one thing I forgot to add about the other day was that fact that I saw two guys with a large beer in both hands (yes drinking from both of them) and wearing a BYU hat! AND on a Sunday! ha! Okay, so here is the picture of Jason and Sydney going down the alpine slide. Hope this works!
