Peyton's Near Death Experience

Update on Peyton. Peyton has turned into an uncommonly good child. He hardly ever cries which is so different from the first 2 months of his life as I remember it.

I picked up Peyton from his mother's work. She was going to the Jazz game with Sydney. During the ride home as I was singing to him, I heard this tiny little whimpering just a few little high pitched noises. They seemed partly a wheeze (which I am so familiar with) and partly a little singing. I was so flattered! Peyton was trying to sing like me!! By the time I got into the driveway, went to get him out of the car seat, I saw that the poor little thing had his hood down over his chin and was trying so hard to shake it off. What I egotistically thought was Peyton mimmicing is grandmother's beautiful singing, was a cry for help!

All things turned out well. I fed him and he ended up in Grandpa's arms, fast asleep.

Sir Chubby Spits-a-Lot and Sister Magoo

So the latest goings on in the Gillman household, is that Peyton is a chunky-monkey. He weighs just over 17 pounds which is two pounds more than Sydney weighed at the same age. His little legs are rolls of fat, but his smile is one of the cutest things you'll ever see. He is extremely ticklish, but will rarely give you an outward giggle, just lots of smiles. He LOVES his sister and wants her to talk to him constantly and loves to give her smiles. Which is great because Sydney gets a kick out of it too. He has started on rice cereal and Sydney couldn't wait to give it to him...and eat his left overs!

Sydney got a big kid booster seat for Jason's car and she is so excited. I have always strapped her in her carseat pretty tight so I think she (and I) will have some getting used to the actual car's seatbelt that allows a person to move around.

We miss everyone and hope to see you all soon!
